Fine & Performing Arts

Band and Orchestra
Barr Bulldogs have the opportunity to take band or orchestra class in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Students may audition for the Grand Island Middle School Jazz Band. Concerts are given in the winter and spring by the band and orchestra.

Vocal Music
Barr Bulldogs have the opportunity to take choir class in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Students may audition for the Show Choir. Choir concerts are given in the winter and spring.

Theatre
Students in grades 6th-8th may participate in drama club. They rehearse and perform a play. Students will learn the basics of stagecraft ,self discipline, and the importance of hard work, creativity, and imaginative play, listening and observation skills, and confidence.
